2025 Theme – Have Guts to Give the Glory

Each year at Georgia Camp, our annual theme helps shape the lessons, conversations, and moments that unfold throughout the week. Last summer’s theme, “Have Guts to Give the Glory,” challenged campers to think deeply about courage and humility as a servant of God.

Throughout the week, campers were encouraged to be bold in their faith, even when it felt uncomfortable or countercultural. Having “guts” was not about being loud or drawing attention to ourselves, but about standing firm in what is right and choosing obedience to God in everyday decisions. Whether in classes, devotionals, or quiet conversations with counselors, campers were reminded that real courage often shows up in small, faithful moments.

Just as important was the call to give the glory. Campers learned that every ability, success, and opportunity comes from God. Instead of seeking recognition or approval, they were encouraged to point others to Him through their words, actions, and attitudes. This focus helped shift hearts from self-centered thinking to a mindset rooted in gratitude and praise.

By the end of the week, “Have Guts to Give the Glory” was more than a theme for the summer, it was a reminder that courage and humility walk hand in hand when we choose to live for God.
